Supporter of ZaDf Anti ZaDr

Please before you bitch, I'm just speaking my opinion as I have the right to my opinion as you do. I'm not speaking ill of any fans but the fandom itself. You know who you all are. You like ZaDr? (Zim and Dib Romance) that's fine. I ain't here saying you can't enjoy it but please realize that there are people who don't and like to speak out on why it bothers them.

To those who don't think they can be friends either same rule applies to you. If you don't support them as friends that's fine, please respect I do though.

Why I think Zim and Dib could be friends. ZaDf (Zim and Dib friendship)

* I think somewhere deep inside Zim knows his race hates him but he's just too afraid to come to realize it. I mean you see how he always quickly brushes it off when someone tries to tell him the truth. It could be pride but I also think its fear of accepting that no one cares about him. There for Zim and Dib have something in common, since both their people hate them. Though with Dib, its mainly cause no one believes him and when they do they just don't care.

* I think somewhere if Dib realized that Zim is hated by his own race, he might consider trying to help Zim. The only reason why Dib is nasty to Zim is cause he thinks Zim is a real threat and to also prove he's not crazy but if Dib learned the truth, there is a possibility of him seeing they both have quite a bit in common. I actually read a fanfiction where this was carried out quite realistically as if from the series. (Though being it was a ZaDr fanfic it turned into porn real quick and I had to stop reading cause it was just disgusting after that... /).- )

* In later episodes they come to have a slight mutual respect towards each other. It's slightly but they do come to each other's aid at times and admit they need help which is noted well in Planet Jackers, Halloween Episode, Gaz Taster Of Pork and especially the unaired episode Mopiness of Doom. Even though it was benefit their personal desire and of course in two episodes the latter refused to help, they admit they need each other help. Shoot in another unaired episode they had to help each other get rid of Keef and near the end they talked to each other without hostility.

So in the end they could be friends at least and Eric Trueheart once stated that ZaDf is legit. That they could be friends. To me that's the best way for them to care about each other but still be in character and respecting their character.

Why I hate and do not support Zim and Dib Romance (ZaDr)

* As said above I read a ZaDr fanfic just to see if it would be ok. It was but then it just quickly turned into porn. Now be it YES I DO REALIZE THERE ARE STRAIGHT COUPLE PORN which I've seen with ZaGr (Zim and Gaz Romance) which I do support but not the sex part, but that's kinda the point. If you put any character in a romance relationship chances are there is gonna be people making porn out of it and I just don't see that with them! >.< Especially since be it yes Zim is not for young kids, but they use kid characters and I've seen young Zim and Dib porn stuff. Dib is like only 11 years old for crying outloud. He's not even at that age to be doing that kind of stuff...Zim well being he acts so immature he's a kid too in his race.(I know he's been around for years but Irkens pretty much age slow).

* I honestly think they rather shoot each other then be in a romance relationship. As much as I think they could be friends at least, when you think about them in character, they'd be puking their guts out if they have seen and read ZaDr stuff. Even the light stuff that doesn't have the sex stuff, they'd still be like well... fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/i/201…

And most importantly, even the creator Jhonen gagged cause he unfortunately has seen that too and says it disturbs him to no end. If the creator doesn't like it, it kinda is disrespecting HIS work because of an unimportant desire aka fetish... I mean not saying you shouldn't do it cause obviously that's not gonna really do anything. I can't make people not do it and if I could I wouldn't cause that'd make me a control freak but I am discouraging it to say the least.

Just reminder, Jhonen himself states he hates and is disturbed by such fandoms as yaoi in both Zim and his other works. He doesn't hate his fans but the fandom, so kinda think of this are you a fan that respects original artists or are you just part of the fandom that will do anything just for the sake of a fantasy even if it means proving that original artist correct?
